Design of a Wideband Monopulse Antenna Using Four Conical Helix Antennas
نویسندگان
چکیده
A novel S-band monopulse antenna with four conical helix antennas on a microstrip substrate comparator is designed, fabricated and measured. Conical helix antenna height is 3λ, and comparator size is 130mm × 150mm. The bandwidth (SWR < 2 dB) of the antenna is 21.3% with an operating frequency range of 2.7GHz–3.35 GHz. The maximum gain of the sum pattern is 17.4 dB, and the null depths of the difference pattern are less than −30 dB.

Conical Conformal Antenna Design using the CPM Method for MIMO Systems
Abstract- In this article, the design of conformal antennas has been discussed using the characteristic modes (CM) method. For this purpose, the vector wave function(VWF) has been utilized to achieve a two-dimensional mapping of the conformal antenna. In designing and analyzing of cone-shaped antennas applicable for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems, the most important goal is to achieve ...
متن کاملDesign and Experiment of a Conformal Monopulse Antenna for Passive Radar Applications
This paper proposed a design scheme of wide band monopulse antenna system for the passive radar seeker (PRS) of anti-radiation missile (ARM). To save the installation space of the PRS, the conical conformal log periodic antennas (LPDA) are employed to form the monopulse antenna system. The specific implementation scheme of PRS based on the conically conformal monopulse antennas was designed and...

NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN) has been using both 70-m and 34-m reflector antennas to communicate with spacecraft at S-band (2.3 GHz) and X-band (8.45 GHz). To improve the quality of telecommunication and to meet future mission requirements, JPL has been developing 34-m Ka-band (32-GHz) beamwaveguide antennas. Presently, antenna pointing operates in either the open-loop mode with blind pointi...

The design of a novel volcano smoke antenna for UWB indoor applications is presented. The design method is based on a general description for the geometry of UWB monopole antennas which is capable of producing most possible shapes for these antennas. It is also compatible with different optimization methods. In addition to a volcano smoke antenna, this method is used to design two optimized mon...
